Tennis in Kingston upon Thames
No clubs on Courting here yet, and six public court venues across the borough.
Kingston is a borough of small tennis. There is no council tennis page and no borough-wide scheme: three sites sit on the Park Tennis In Kingston booking network, at Alexandra Recreation Ground, Beverley Park and Kingston Road Recreation Ground. Three more recreation grounds have courts but no online booking, and Kingston Council's own sports facilities assessment counts them: eight at Manor Park, three at Victoria Recreation Ground in Surbiton and one at Sir Francis Barker.
Where nothing is centrally organised, the organising falls on whoever is most willing to chase it round a group chat, and that is not a durable way to keep a game going. Courting takes it off them. It holds the booking, builds sides worth playing on, and offers members games on the evenings they have said they are free, so a regular four does not depend on one person's persistence.

Public and park courts in Kingston upon Thames
Not in a club yet? These courts are open to anyone. Book the court with the venue, then start or join a session on Courting.
Three Kingston sites have a booking page. The other three have no online booking, so their court counts come from Kingston Council's Outdoor Sport Facilities Assessment rather than a booking sheet.

4 of 6 venues are plotted. The rest are listed below without a pin: two sources have to agree on a location before it gets one.

Venues, access and locations come from council and local-authority pages. Court counts, surfaces and floodlights come from each venue operator's own booking page on ClubSpark, and from documents published by Kingston Council where no booking page states them. A blank means no approved source states it. Last checked 11 October 2026.

Tennis in Kingston upon Thames: common questions
- Where can you book a public tennis court in Kingston upon Thames?
- Three places: Alexandra Recreation Ground, Beverley Park and Kingston Road Recreation Ground, all on the Park Tennis In Kingston network. Kingston Council itself has no tennis page at all, which is unusual for a London borough, so the booking network is the practical route in.
- Are there other tennis courts in Kingston's parks?
- Yes, at three more recreation grounds, though none of them can be booked online. Kingston Council's Outdoor Sport Facilities Assessment counts eight floodlit courts at Manor Park Recreation Ground, three at Victoria Recreation Ground in Surbiton and one at Sir Francis Barker Recreation Ground. At Manor Park, the council's club directory says Tennis Avenue Academy's courts are open to the public on a pay and play basis. The assessment rates the courts at the other two poor, and the council said the Sir Francis Barker court would close while a flood basin was built from May 2025, so check it has reopened before you go.
- Is Kings Field in Hampton Wick a Kingston tennis court?
- It has two courts, but it is not in this borough and it is not on Kingston's network. Kings Field sits in Hampton Wick and books through Play Tennis Richmond alongside Palewell Common and York House Gardens, so it belongs on the Richmond page rather than this one.
